1. Cucumbers


Cucumbers are well known for their cooling properties. They help in maintaining the pH balance of the skin acting as a natural skin toner. It also helps in fixing up the dullness and puffy eyes.They have lots of other uses…

For Skin 

Cucumber does a great job when it comes to fight against dulness of your skin. It is also used as a cooling eye pad. It also improves the skin texture to a great extent. ALl you need to do is

Procedure : Slice a cucumber and make some juice out of it. Add a few drops of lemon juice and sandalwood powder into the mix and thoroughly mix all the ingredients well in a bowl and spread in on your face. let it sit for 15-20 minutes and rinse it. You wil notice the results gradually.

For Hair

Cucumbers are very rich in silicon and sulphur.

Procedure : Mix few drops of lemon juice and cucumber juice and  Apply the juice to your scalp and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse the juice off with warm water before shampooing your hair. Use a mild shampoo to wash your hair. Dont let too many chemicals act on your hair.


2. Tangy Tomatoes


Tomatoes have been known to improve and brighten skin. tomatoes are also good at fighting signs of aging, banishing dark spots and wrinkles.

For  Skin

Tomatoes contain vitamins C and A, which are very good for improving skin texture.

Procedure : Add 2 tablespoons of tomato juice and 2 tbsp of cucumber juice and a few drops of lemon juice in a bowl and mix all of them together. Apply this mix to your face and let it sit for 15-20 min and rinse it away with cold water.

For Hair

Procedure : Slice 2 tomatoes and mash them into pulp. Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the puree and apply it to your hair. Give your scalp a good massage and keep it on for 20-30 minutes.Wash it off with warm water.


3. Potatoes


Surprisingly, all it takes is just a slice of potato to give your skin a makeover! It’s a rich source of potassium and helps keep acne, fine lines and dark circles at bay.

For Skin

Procedure : Grate a potato and add up some rose water or cucumber water to it. Add a few drops of lemon juice and honey and mix it well. Apply the mixture to your hair and leave it for 15-20 minutes and rinse it

For  Hair

Potato juice promotes hair growth as well as  improves your hair. texture

Procedure : Peel a potato and churn it in a grinder until you get a thick paste out of it. Apply this mix to your scalp and hair strands, and massage well.Wrap your hair with a shower cap and let the juice stay in your hair for 20-30 minutes.Wash your hair with lukewarm water.


4. Eggs


Eggs are one of the richest nutritious food. This wonder food is loaded with protein, fatty acids and vitamins. Interestingly, they also work wonders for our hair and skin! Here are some remedies with eggs you absolutely must try…

For Skin

Eggs has a protein called “LUTEIN ” which helps in maintaining the moisture levels of your skin. Eggs are also helpful in skin tightening and blackhead removal. IT also improves the texture of your skin and makes it baby soft. All you need to do it…

Procedure : Take an egg white into a bowl. Beat the egg till it becomes frothy. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice and a few drops of olive oil into the bowl. Mix all the ingredients well, and apply it on your face. Let it sit for 20-30 mins and wash it off with cold water.

For  Hair

Procedure : Crack an egg, separate its whites from the yolk, and pour the yolks in a container. Gently apply the yolk to your hair. Massage your scalp and leave it to dry for 30 minutes. Rinse it with lukewarm water

5. Lemons

Procedure : Squeeze a couple of lemons, and add 2 tbsp of honey to the lemon juice and mix it well. Gently apply the gooey mix to your face and massage well. Keep it on for 30 minutes, till it dries up. Wash it off with warm water.

Get Rid Of Annoying Blackheads

Lemons have antibacterial and astringent properties that help eliminate toxins and excess oil from the skin. Instead of getting your blackheads treated at the salon, here’s what you can do:

Procedure :  Slice a lemon into half. Pick a piece up, and gently rub it on your nose. Leave to sit there for 10 minutes. Wash it off with cold water.

For Hair

Since lemons are rich in vitamin B, C and phosphorus, they work wonders for your hair’s texture too..

Procedure : squeeze two lemons.  Add fresh coconut water to the juice and mix them together. After shampooing your hair, skip the conditioner and use the lemon-coconut juice instead. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and rinse it off with lukewarm water.
