I am back with another post , this time something that’s semi – traditional.
Those who are following me on my social media know that I started designing my dresses. I have designed a few inspired from Kate spade , but with Indian fabrics.
The lehenga – Crop top I am going to talk about in this post are made from a saree.
I wanted a simple, nothing over the top lehenga just to wear it to the temple or attend small events in Utah. My mom helped me in picking out the fabric and getting it stitched.
I wore this to a Middle eastern/Arabic/Indian inspired photo shoot. The make up artists and the hair stylists were so kind and they did an excellent job .
It took the hair stylists an hour and a half to curl my thick and long hair 😛
Once I reached the studio , that’s where they started working on my make up .
It took 2 hours to finish the gorgeous eye makeup.
Its a gold glittery cut crease smokey eye and I absolutely loved it .
The accessories I am wearing are all from Hyderabad. I got them last year when I was in India.
I have done many shoots , but this is the first shoot where my make up and hair are over the top . I dont even look like myself and straight out of my comfort zone and absolutely loved it. I am waiting for the studio pics but I am gonna post a few pictures that were taken after the shoot.
So the lehenga is a gorgeous Chilly (Orangish Red) color and I paired it with a mustard off the shoulder top and a dupatta.
Yet again its very simple and elegant … nothing too fancy but still beautiful.
I have decided to add a little bit of sparkle by sticking the gold sequin elephant patches on the lehenga.
It was an excellent team effort <3 I love my team <3 Cant wait to see the studio pictures <3
See you all soon with another post next week <3 XOXO
