Makeup For Indian Skin (BEGINNERS)- FOUNDATION

Hey ,

How are you all doing today ?

As a part of our beginner’s make up series , lets talk about foundation.

Foundation—it’s the all-important canvas for the rest of our makeup.

Foundation is a skin colored makeup applied to the face to create an even, uniform color to the complexion, to cover flaws and, sometimes, to change the natural skin tone.

How to choose the perfect shade :

Test foundation on your jawline and check it in the daylight, the color is correct if it disappears without blending.

Always take help of your friends or a beauty advisor in the store.

We Indians are very particular about fair complexion and we tend to buy lighter foundations to look fairer. But this is the biggest mistake you would be doing.

Foundation thats lighter than your skin tone makes you look GREY not fair but GREY.

ALWAYS choose a shade that is closest to your skin tone.

Types Of Foundation :

Self-Adjusting Foundations : These foundations supposedly stop or claim to control oil production and also moisturize skin wherever it’s dry.

Best for normal to slightly dry or slightly oily skin.

Mineral Foundation :

It is a powder foundation sold in either loose or pressed form.

Best for oily skin.

Matte-Finish Liquid Foundations:

It has a smooth finish with no shine or dewy appearance.

Best for oily skin.

Moisturizing Liquid Foundations

These liquid foundations usually have a slightly thicker texture and are easy to blend.

Best option for dry and combination skin.

Pressed Powder Foundations

These foundations come in a compact and work like regular pressed powders, only with a bit more coverage and ability to stay put.

Best for normal to slightly dry or slightly oily skin types.

Cream-to-Powder Compact Foundations

These foundations are a cross between a pressed-powder and a creamy liquid foundation.

Best for normal to slightly dry or slightly oily skin.

Stick Foundations

Stick foundations are essentially cream-to-powder foundations in stick form.

Best for dry skin.

How To Apply The Foundation :

After prepping your skin with primer (to know about the primers Makeup For Beginners (Click Here)) apply foundation either with a brush or a beauty blender with outward strokes.

You can dab the foundation with your fingers too for a natural look.

Do not layer on foundation , when you are going for a photo shoot. Flash photography would make your face look grey.

You can apply the concealer either before or after the foundation .(to know more about this Makeup Indian Skin Beginners Concealer (Click Here ))

TOOLS :

Use a beauty blender or a flat brush or a stippling brush to get the flawless finish.
