Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation Review

Hello Everyone ūüôā

Well… we have been hearing alot about the Maybelline New York’s new¬†FIT ME¬†range after it’s launch of Baby lips candy wow.Today I’ll be reviewing the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation. I bought this foundation almost a month ago but i took time to review this for a clear idea of it! So let‚Äôs get into the review and see if it lives up to its hype or not.

fit me 1st

Price: Rs 525 for 30ml

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation is available in 6 shades in India: 115 Ivory, 128 Warm Nude, 230 Natural Buff, 310 Sun Beige, 322 Warm Honey, 330 Warm Caramel.

Product Description :

This ultra-lightweight foundation contains micro-powders that absorb oil for a matte and pore-less-looking finish.Unique formula goes beyond matching just skin-tone and also matches the texture of normal to oily skin for the ultimate natural fit. Dermatologist and allergy tested, this mattifying foundation does not clog pores and is oil-free.

Packaging :

The Maybelline Matte + Poreless Foundation comes in a rectangular glass bottle with a black screw cap. The bottle is not heavy yet feels sturdy. It does not come with a pump and has a wide rim for dispensing the foundation.¬†I personally don’t¬†have any issues without a¬†pump but because of this foundation‚Äôs texture, it can be hard sometimes to dispense the product.I always end up taking out more product than needed as its hard to control the amount with the wide spout and at times it also ends up dripping at the side of the bottle. However, it is travel friendly. I love its chic glass packaging.

Shade :

This particular range consists of warm yellow toned foundations which is a big yayy for we Indians as we primarily have a yellow undertone. I got the shade 310 Sun Beige which is more yellow toned and will suit medium complexion.  A great shade for fair-medium skin-tone however this has a more yellow undertone compared to Natural Buff.

Texture :

The new Maybelline Foundation has a slightly thick texture. But , it blends easily into the skin. I’ve applied this with my foundation sponge as well as my fingers and it works both the ways. It is a matte foundation but not too matte which makes you look so made up. It was said that it suits normal to oily skin but it works great for dry skinned beauties as well. Only thing is exfoliate and moisturize your skin well before using this. It doesn’t dry out or exaggerate any  dry spots/patches

Coverage :

It has a light- medium coverage and the coverage is buildable. It gives a very natural look.  It gives a very natural matte look and the formula is quite comfortable to wear. It does not settle into fine lines such as your smile lines . The coverage is decent for daily wear

Staying Power :

Even without setting with a powder, it lasts easily for 5 good hours on me. I usually don’t prefer setting it with a powder as i have dry skin. But for oily skinned beauties you might need a touch up after 3 hours or so as it is summer to remain shine-free

Pros of Maybelline Fit Me Foundation:

  • Blends easily
  • Lightweight formula
  • Natural¬†l matte finish
  • Contains an SPF of 18.
  • Can be applied and blended in with fingers as well as with brush.
  • ¬†Shades available.
  • Packaging is sleek and classy.
  • Staying power
  • The price is pretty affordable

Cons of Maybelline Fit Me Foundation:

  • Contains parabens.
  • The bottle does not come with a pump
  • SPF content can result in slight whitish cast when using flash photography.
  • Can end up looking too dewy and somewhat oily on oily skin and if you do not set with powder.

My Verdict on Maybelline Fit Me Foundation:

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation is one of the best affordable foundations  for all skin types  in India.

Dry skin– Exfoliate and moisturize your skin before you apply this foundation

Oily skin– Set it with a powder after you apply this foundation

It is the perfect daily wear foundation with a buildable coverage, natural matte finish and decent staying power. It keeps the face shine free for around 3 hours which is pretty decent coming from a drugstore brand. Highly recommend it for summers!

My Rating : 4.5/5

(0.5 for the absence of pump)
